Approximately 50% of charitable giving by individuals is done around the holiday season. Also, making monetary donations and looking for volunteer opportunities online is also on the increase. Some people who make a charitable donation or those that are hesitant to do so, may wonder if the charity they are donating to is a reputable one and/or where their money is going.
If you fall into one of these areas, we at BTInet would like to offer you some of the following resources to aid you in making an informed decision on where your money is going.
These sites allow you to get a better picture of the charity you may be thinking of donating to or volunteering at. These are not all inclusive lists and may not reflect the many good local charities in our communities, mainly because our local charities may not operate on a large enough of a scale to be reviewed by the individuals that maintain these sites.
