CD Installation Software

When BTInet originally started offering Internet Service, new computers did not come pre-installed with an Internet browser. For this reason, we distributed an installation CD to our customers to install the Netscape browser. Over the years, it has become commonplace for new computers to come pre-installed with Internet Explorer. Also, during that same timeframe, the Netscape browser has evolved to a standalone browser that does not include e-mail capabilities.

For these reasons, we have decided that it is no longer necessary to distribute installation software to customers who already have the necessary software (Internet Explorer and Outlook Express) already pre-installed on their computers.

Beginning on April 1, 2007, we will no longer be providing installation software to new and existing customers. We will continue to provide full technical support of both Netscape 7 and Internet Explorer; however, if during troubleshooting procedures, it is deemed necessary to reinstall the Netscape browser you will need to have a copy of the installation CD we originally provided you.

A downloadable copy of Netscape 7 will still be available on our Browser Software Update and Instructions page, as well as the necessary setup instructions to create a dialer and/or configure Internet Explorer and Outlook Express for your Internet access through BTInet.
