How is Spam Filtered?

Incoming e-mail is routed through the BTInet Spam Filter and analyzed against a set of over 4,000 rules. Based on this analysis, the e-mail is tagged, quarantined or blocked as Spam based on the default or customized values you have set in the Filter tool. Legitimate e-mail is allowed through to your mail program’s Inbox. (See Article SPAM14 for more info.)
