How do I enable the Spam Quarantine feature?

Note: If you do not know what the Spam Quarantine feature is, you may wish to look at Article SPAM07.

After logging into the Spam Filter, click on the Preferences tab at the top of the page.

  • Click the Quarantine Settings button and verify that “Enable Quarantine” is set to Yes. If it is not, change to Yes and click Save Changes. NOTE: On this screen, you may also change how often you receive a “Spam Quarantine Summery” e-mail and to which e-mail address the summary will go.
  • Select the Spam Settings button and verify that “Use System Defaults” is set to No. If it is not, change to No and click Save Changes.
  • To utilize the Spam Quarantine option, you will need to lower the “Quarantine Score” slide bar so that it is set to a lower value than the “Tag Score” or “Block Score” slide bars and click Save Changes. Keep in mind, the lower the value the greater chance you may quarantine a legitimate e-mail you want to receive.
