I get a blank white screen, or the e-mail address and password are blank, after I try to log into Webmail. What is wrong?

To be able to log into Webmail, your browser needs to be set to allow cookies and JavaScript to run. You will get a blank white screen when JavaScript is disabled and the e-mail address and password will come back blank when cookies are disabled. Follow the steps outlined for your browser type to correct either of these items.

Internet Explorer

  • Within Internet Explorer, click on Tools and select Internet Options
  • Under the Security tab, click the Default Level button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
  • Under the Privacy tab, click the Default button on the right-hand side of the screen
  • Click OK
  • Go back to the Webmail login screen and attempt to log into your account again

Netscape

  • Within Netscape, click on Edit and select Preferences
  • In the left-hand menu, click the toggle arrow in front of Privacy and Security to expand that listing
  • Highlight cookies and verify Enable all cookies is selected in the right-hand menu
  • In the left-hand menu, click the toggle arrow in front of Advanced to expand that listing
  • Highlight Scripts & Plugins and in the right-hand menu under Enable JavaScript for, verify there is a check mark in front of Navigator
  • Click OK
  • Go back to the Webmail login screen and attempt to log into your account again

If you are still getting a blank white screen, or the Webmail page comes back to the login screen with the username and password blank and no error message, then you may have another application on your computer set to block cookies or JavaScript. Common applications that may do this are Anti-virus or Firewall software. Please check these applications and verify that they are not set to block access to these features in Webmail.
